System spec's: new P3 Tualatin New Asus CUSL2T motherboard 512 meg ram PC133 (Infineon) 100 gig hard drive. Asus geforce3 TI500 AGP no sound card 52X cdrom drive 20/10/40 CDRW.
Now onto the problem: During install of XP everything goes just fine until the second reboot when:
Setup err.log
Error:SXS.DLL-Syntax Error in manifest or policy file "F:\I386\ASMS\6000\MSFT\Windows
than the computer stops and goes into an endless cycle of reset/boot error message reset/boot error message. I check the XP Error page, it's not listed. (go figure)
All the components are brand new, I loaded Win2K on the system after 6 hours of frustraton with XP. Anybody have any ideas? I am all out of em'.

Windows XP is very fast, I'm impressed, and that doesn't happen very often with me and M$.
