Please help! This morning I could read all photos on a floppy but all of a sudden I can't on either of my computers. I tried copying the photos off the disk but it says no contents though it shows each file in details view. I tried changing one photo's name (from "mvc-001S" to "photo.jpg") but that didn't work - they are currently "jpg" files. These were taken off a Sony Mavica digital camera. I'm not proficient at troubleshooting - could use your assitance. I need these photos today. Help! Please email response to vikkishore@yahoo.com Thanks! |

It sounds like the disk could be bad... maybe magnetized or left in the sun? Anyhow, you could try a program I find quite useful, it is called "Easy Recovery Pro" it can restore data from disks that have even lost their partition information. I have this program if you would like I can E-Mail it to you (If you don't have Hotmail) I believe this program is under 5MB, but if you have a limit on MB to your Inbox, it might not work. This isn't the only option though, you might be able to run ScanDisk on the A: drive (Although I don't know if you can?) Or try copying files from them in DOS, maybe it'll have a different story to tell! Hope I helped some... |

I am having similar problems. My a drive is not reading pictures taken on floppy disk on mavica camera. We have just swithched hard drives, but a drive will read former disks from same kind of camera. Any ideas? I am stressing out here! |
