I have three computers which out of the blue all popped up INSERT SYSTEM BOOT DISK instead of loading Windows. They are all Windows 98. Do I need to order new hard drives or what?

i'd insert a startup floppy disk and try to boot up. see if it gets somewhere. and if all your files are still on your c: drive. do a dir and check that the windows directory is still intact, otherwise, i'd say you either left a floppy in the drive, or a virus may have got to your systems. may have to re-install then. or try to clean it.

I got it up and running. Thanks a lot for your help. I'll probably be back sooner or later.
