Out of no where I am suddenly receiving uncontrollable pop-up ads. An application program in my start up folder, Winservs (sear1 MFC application)has also appeared at the same time. I can't delete it or start with out it reappearing in that folder. I think it's causing pop-ups to appear even with out being connected to Explorer. I've tried in Safe Mode, Scanreg/restore, msconfig, to work around it. It won't let me operate with out it. Please help, I hate my HPpc enough already. I'm using w98se.

thanks, anyway I finally tracked down the program to uninstall from http://www.purityscan.com. How the application ever got to my pc is still beyond me. To remove go to: http://www.clickspring.net/cs/pop4/frame.html
