Iam running Win98 SE and have considered converting to FAT32.
After checking in DriveSpace3 to check the amount of space now available,I clicked the"About"tab and it reads"Disk compression driver not installed".
Does this compression driver refer to Drive converter(FAT32)or a seperate entity?
Thanks for all your help, truly appreciate it!

Go to CONTROL PANEL-ADD\REMOVE PROGRAMS-WINDOWS SETUP. Highlight SYSTEM TOOLS, then click on DETAILS and see if DRIVE CONVERTER(FAT32)is checked. If not, check it and click on ok to install it.
The drive converter is installed by default when you install win98, but that doesn't mean it wasn't removed.
Once the drive converter is installed, go for it. Always backup what you don't want to lose, just in case.
