When I double click on Microsoft Word (Windows ME), my computer freezes. Sometimes, when it feels like it, it tells me that my computer is dangerously low on resources. However, 67% of the resources are free! I've tried re-loading it and using the disk to repair it. It worked the first time, but now, the same problem happened and it won't fix it. HELP!!!! I can get into ALL of my other programs, it's just WORD that won't open (of course, the most important one for me!) Thanks for your help! |

got to search-->for files or folders. serach in the windows for the file normal.dot in the local drive and delete it. restart the system and try opening word.it should open without any problems. it usually happens if the normal.dot template file is corrupted. |

I had this problem after installing win fax pro. I had to delete the WFWORD file wich is a macro for faxing in office. You can always try this and if you still can't open word restore WFWord fom the recycle bin. |
