I have an old NEC 386 laptop that I installed win 3.1. Did not create start disk, my win me start disk will boot the machine, but will not start win3.1 (incorrect version of dos) Anybody got a Win 3.1 start disk/boot disk, or link to one? Thanks... geoff_h22@hotmail.com |

A bootup disk is not needed. Just type WIN at the dos prompt and press enter. If you want win3.1 to come up automatically, in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file at the end of the entries type c:\windows\win.exe. You can use NOTEPAD to open the AUTOEXEC.BAT file. The link below will help with any boot disks you may need. http://www.bootdisk.com/ |
