how can i delete entries in the address bar of ie6? I know how to clear all entries, and I know how to delete typed entries, in the registry. But I need to delete certain addresses I have gone to while just surfing. The url's i am trying to delete were never typed in the address bar or saved as favorites. - THANKs for any help! even when i clear all entries these addresses still show up. I have alwready-1. deleted all my history. ----------------2. deleted all auto complete entries. ----------------3. deleted all typed url's in the registry. ----------------4. tried url remover programs. #'s 3&4 only remove typed url's and I didn't type them in the first place. I can't turn off auto complete because I need it and after turning it off and then back on again the url's still show up. I have no idea how to get rid of them or how they got there in the first place, so any help is really appreciated! thanks agin for any help. oh yeah, i am using ie 5 or 6 (i forget)and win xp. |

It seems those URLs will get rid of you before you get rid of them, hahaha. Download Window Washer 4.8 from Kazaa, but please... please... have an UP TO DATE virus scanner (latest virus defenitions is the extreme most critical importance) now... download this program. Many times you will download one that has a worm virus in it but dont worry if your virus scanner is good enough it'll stop and remove the download before it even finishes. Eventually you'll find a clean version, install it. For Windows XP you will want to enable all the washing and bleaching options... also... there are hidden folders in Windows XP that contain data they don't want you to erase. First, you need to enable the viewing of hidden and system files/folders. Then add a custom wash option in Window Washer, and select the following folders to clean: "C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temp" and "C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files" Run Window Washer and it will even clean that locked and encrypted Index.dat file IE uses. If this doesn't work then you really have a serious problem like a twisted script or virus running on your machine. You'd better format and start again, download Windows XP and burn the file contents to a CD as if it were the real CD, don't just burn the ZIP file like a and download everything you could ever dream of having from Kazaa and install it and then search for "Mr Dude" in kazaa it's a Windows XP KEY CHANGER so you can change your key and download Service Pack 1 even with an illegal version oRioN |
