Have a Maxtor 2.5GB HDD that originally had Red Hat - Linux on it. Windows 98SE was then install on top of that. I have erased all of these partitions with Partition Magic. But I still cannot install NT 4.0 Workstation SP3 (need this edition for a specialty software application we run). I am installing from the three floppies. I get all the way through to the third floppy and then the install says it cannot find primary dos partition it needs. I tried using Win95 boot disk with Fdisk to create primary partition (did not format it so that it was not set to Fat16) and it still will not install. Any suggestions? I am certainly no expert, and no offense to those who may love NT4.0; I really do not want to be an NT4.0 expert. Seems to be one of the most difficult OSs I have ever dealt with. Anyway, thanks in advance for any assistance.

Computer has a 350mhz intel processer with 128mb Ram. As I mentioned above I know the HDD works, just not for NT. I do have an old DOS OS disk, could I possible install this, then upgrade to NT? Just a thought.
