Windows XP. P4 2.8 GHz. 512 MB RAM. 80 GB HDD. When I turn the computer on, it puts up the splash screen and then runs through the blue bar scrolling and scrolling and scrolling. It never gets past this. If I hit the restart button, it will bring me to the boot up menu. If I choose Safe Mode, it will bring up the login screen, but when I type in my password, nothing happens. Any ideas? Thanks |

Big Guy, Chkdsk might work for you if you have the XP cd handy so files can be replaced that are obviously corrupted or just flat out missing. |
