I tried to install Windows 2000 by upgradeing from Windows 98 SE on my existing partition, now whenever I restart, I am unable to get to the DOS prompt to format my HD. When I try to finish the windows 2000 setup it gives me either a registry error or ntfs file system error and I can't do anything with my HD.I tried to make the bootdisk and to boot in safe mode but no go.Can anyone help me find a way to format the HD? |

if you have a windows 98 startup disk, use it to repartition your hard drive- that will wipe out everything on the drive, and allow you to start fresh |
