I am reinstalling Win98 on my machine and have cannot find the registration key anywhere, I have the disk, the startup disk and the book, but my reg key has vanished, is there any way to find the numbers on my hard drive or the cdrom before I reformat my hard drive? |

you can download a free programe call Xteq from hotfiles.com or download.com or from there site which i beleave is www.xteq.com .. it is a coooooooooool utility that gives you all kinds of info on you pc and software and lets you make changes and boost performance. when you run it look under information/windows 95/98 system info and you will see your product ID and your Product KEY ...Bob |

just look at the properties tab on my computer icon by right clicking it and choosing properties. it will be there. that is, if you haven't formatted your harddrive yet, |
