I am reinstalling Win98 SE on my machine and have cannot find the registration key anywhere, I have the disk, the startup disk and the book, but my reg key has vanished, is there any way to find the numbers on my hard drive or the cdrom before I reformat my hard drive? |

If you can still boot up Windows, Click on START, then RUN, and type in "REGEDIT" (without the quotes).
Browse to the following location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
You should see a listing in the right-hand side that says "ProductKey" with the registration number you need. |
