Installed the final version of WinME,3000.2 and this is the most stable windows I've ever used....but..when I tried adding any line to the autoexec.bat file either with notepad or sysedit,when I reboot the line is gone! Tried read-only,complete removal of bat file...always it returns. Anyone have a clue where the rewrite of the autoexec.bat might be originating???

With the new Windows ME Every line in the autoexec.bat and config.sys are moved to the win.ini file. You can edit the lines in the win.ini file. |
