hello i have this problem, my kid deleted some dll files so we restore the system with the restore disk that comes with the computer. That work of great the computer was working fine until tonight. Every time i go to the the start button the computer shuts down and comes up with this error: 0028:c86ae23f oe. Now should i go ahead a restore my system agian or is their a smiple soultion for this. I really would like some input.

do you know which .dll files he deleted. it would help. you could then just put them back. also, you may get this error if your harddrive is getting too hot. is there an error message displayed that says something like: could not find xxxxx. ?

Thanks win but i end up restoring one more time to see if the problem comes back. Sorry to say i dont recall a error saying COULD NOT FIND missing file. i am assumeing that what u where talking about. Thanks for your reply. Colette
