Hi!! I have a friend with an Applemac and a problem.

My friend's done a silly - she's erased a file she wanted to keep. Now if Macs work anything like real world computers (I'm an IBM user m'self!) it won't be gone, it'll just have an extraneous character stuffed in its name so the system knows it can overwrite that area, am I right in thinking that? And I know I've rescued 'deleted' files by searching in Dos for anything with a question mark for the first character of its name.

Thing is, Macs don't have a DOS equivalent, do they? (She's using OS10, by the way.) So do you know of any downloadable software that would let her trace the 'deleted' file and restore it?

Please help, if you can.

My E-mail's ulrichburke@hotmail.com, by the way.

Thanx in anticipation,

Chris
