I just wrote and passed the A+ Certification today with an average score of 93%. Just wanted to tell some folks who could appreciate that fact as my whole family is computer illiterate!!!

Anyway, if anyone wants to ask me questions about the exam, just let me know.

Congratulations and welcome to the club!

For those of you that want to try out more certifications without paying the $100 for the test, check out the following web-site:

Too COOL! Congrats! We have had a few A+ questions pass through here and also a few passee's. By the way...where the heck is Depova? He hangs around, passes the test and then gets too busy to say hello every now and then...Depova...??

Adam, whats the deal with the brainbench guys? I see all kinds of certification. Do any of them have any real standing in the world?

Well, Yes and No. To be honest, Brainbench has no affiliations with the major hardware and software vendors (as of yet). This website is looked at though, by certain recruiters to view strengths and weaknesses in the areas of testing.

I initially came across the link from a job search engine - www.computerjobs.com - since I'm always looking to get ahead in the world, I figured that the additional testing they have show potential employers that I'm willing to train and study for the tests, as well as possibly getting me additional money in the hiring process.

Worst case scenario, if you don't want to get the certifications, it still is a great place to test your knowledge to see if you have what it takes to pass the real test that do hold value in today's market. On a site note, Microsoft actually endorsed this web-site as a "transition" area before taking the real tests.

The computer-technician test (and I've been working with computers now for 15 years) was one of the toughest I've taken. It asks very obscure questions that I don't think anyone knows now.
