I downloaded the MS Powertoys from their web site and intstalled TweakUI. It also installed a bunch of other tidbits like recycle bim contents, command prompt here, cd-extendplayer, etc...
I want to get rid of all of it including TweakUI, but in Add-Remove, it says "(remove-only)" and/or the uninstall program cancels itself for some unknown reason.
How can I get rid of this stuff manually?

Thanks,
Jerold

It sounds obvious, but you are not attempting to
uninstall Tweak-UI from the add/remove menu within
Tweak-UI are you? This menu only allows you to remove
references to programs in your normal control panel
add/remove menu. It won't actually remove anything.
If you want to remove Tweak-UI manually, I THINK you
can (I haven't tried this) simply go into Tweak-UI,
restore any settings you want to defaults, and remove
Tweak UI from your control panel, as well as the file
from wherever you installed it originally. Flexi-cd,
quick-res, desktop-from-here and so forth can simply
be removed from your startmenu/start up folder and deleted
from their directory. Shell extensions such as cab
viewer, etc., are a little tougher. You would have
to edit the registry, and I wouldn't know how to go
about that safely, and don't recommend it if you aren't
absolutely sure of what you are doing. www.annoyances.org
may have something on this subject if you are determined
to remove all traces of power toys from your machine
manually.
