My laptop won't boot up now. I have a microm transport trek2, WIN98, Phoenix BIOS 4.0 I had problems with the shutdown of the laptop. It would go into some kind of suspend mode instead of powering off. The tech support guy told me that it was probably a power management setting in the BIOS that got reset to its default parameters. I changed some of the settings under power and under the POWER/SUSPEND setting chose "save to disk". Now when I reboot the machine it comes up with a BIOS screen that indicates "resume save to disk" and then I get a blank screen only. I press the power button again and the BIOS screen comes up again that says, "saving to disk", then it just shuts down. IT WON'T BOOT UP WIN98!??! How can I bypass the "resume save to disk" and get nto the BIOS setup screen? Do I have to reinstall the system with the manufacture cd? Can that be done with the BIOS all screwed up? Thanks |

Just remove all your batteries. This will set your BIOS to default settings. KC |

HI Try pressing the "INS" key while powering on. On some systems this bypasses some BIOS settings. Yizhar |
