I want the ability to use either cd-rom player for music cd's. Is there a Y cable that can be used, or does the sound card have to have 2 connections? Jim |

More to the point, the MCI CD Audio driver (Windows way of playing CD's) can only have one drive selected as the source for audio. If you had one CD-ROM drive that had player controls on the front that would be OK, since you could use the on-screen CD Player for one and the manual CD controls on the other drive. |

Very interesting; Some sound cards have more than one connection for a CD-rom. Havent seen a "Y" cable, but the cable from the CD-rom to the sound card consist of: a connecter, a 3 wire cable, and another connecter. shouldnt pose a problem to make a "Y" cable. |
