Why windows NT 4.0 recognize only 8GB HD / IDE 10 GB HD installed / Servicepack 3 and IDE driver installed
BIOS found 10GB HD
WIN 98 found 10GB HD
Why WIN NT found only 8GB ???????????????? |

I'm not sure about this, but -
There is also a Jumper settings issue, which is different in NT4 from DOS/Win9x
(Additionally to setting the Master/Slave jumpers).
This is relevant for some models.
Look in your HD manufacture site.

because your generic ide drivers provided by NT can only recognize hard drives up to 8GB. you can download a new ide driver(atapi.sys) |
