no replies - does this mean that my motherboard
is a very rare one? Anyway I have decided to
buy a Pentium board and be done with it.

I have an IPEX 486IV6201 motherboard which does a nice little function as a DOS computer. I can switch on or off without long boot or powerdown procedures. However There is no CMOS battery.
I see inside that there is J1 which is a 4pin male with 3 pins fitted and it appears to be the connector for the battery. I had a 3.6v nicad put aside for this job, but when I measured the pins found them to be 5v when the board is powered.
Does anyone have information on what this board should have in the way of a CMOS battery.
