Since the Amptron web site seems to be down, I was hopeing someone out there might be able to help me with jumper settings to use an IBM 6x86MX PR200 CPU (2.9V) with this board if it is possible. Even if I have to run it at 5 X 50 rather than 2 X 75.

The board is an Amptron MB-8500TVX-A ver 2.3

Just happen to have oneof those manuals. However, it's only shows accepting the single voltage 3.45V/3.5V. (JP6 1 and 2 closed JP11 1 and 2 closed 3 and 4 closed) The only 2.9V (JP6 2 and 3 closed JP11 1-2 open 3-4 open) CPU's it uses is Intel and AMD.

Thanks Trish

Once the Amptron site came back up I realize it wasn't their site I needed after all, I was confusing the board with their similarly named PM-8500 board.

The board I have is actually made by BioStar, and although the jumper settings on BioStar's web site indicate that it can support dual voltages and 2.9V, I could not get it going.
They don't directly mention that the 6x86MX chips are supported, just the Cyrix/IBM 686, so I'll just have to use a different board.

Thanks anyway.

Hiya Trish,
Am looking for jumper settings on an old Biostar Micro tech MB-8500TVX-A ver. 2.3 board.
Am in search of function of jumpers J8, J9, J12, J14.
What processors does this board support??
Thanks
WanKie
