Well I bought myself a Diamond Viper 770. I know that
this card is suppose to be very good because its one
of the bestselling cards I have at Future Shop.
I Installed in my PC, I had to set an IRQ for the card
in my BIOS and I downloaded the latest drivers from
diamondmm.com Now my problem is that for normal video
use it works.. I mean I'm using it right now to do basic
stuff, like the NET and other small stuff. But as soon
as I try and run a .AVI or .MPG It doesnt work the
application thats running it freezes up. I can't even
start QuickTime 3, because when I start it, it freezes.
I installed the game Commandos on my PC and I can't
start the game, because it freezes also right away.

Does anybody have a clue to what I can do to fix this?
I have no idea where the problem is if someone could
shed some light onto this it would be really appreciated.

Thanks
Marcos

You will probably need to download and install the latest Direct X.
If you run Win 98 then download it from Windows Update on your start menu. While you're there get the latest Media Player too.

If you are using Windows 95, click below

Microsoft's Direct X site
