I am at a loss!!! I have just installed Dos 6.22 on a
486pc and I get an error message during the bootup. It
says that Himem.sys can not control A20 line.
Can anyone point me in the right direction.

The GateA20 line is controlled by the keyboard controller IC on the motherboard. You should "squish" that chip down - to make sure it is not just oxidization on the IC contacts - failing that, you have to replace the IC or the MB.

Check your system bios. Look for something called fastgate a20 or just fastgate and see if you can disable it. Hope this helps |
