There is a isa/pci card available that is used to boot a system and re-flash a on-board bios that has been corrupted and rendered the board as DEAD. DELL Computer uses one called a "bios card". Intel made one called a "Mystie" card.
Does any one know how to boot a dead board and/or the where abouts to purchase the above card?

Please e-mail any suggestions.

Thank You

There are bios upgrade cards available. Amedia makes
one, and I think I/O Magic has them as well. I can't
tell you whether you'll be able to flash your old
bios by booting up from one of these. New bios chips
are usually available from your motherboard manufacturer
for around $20.00, or you can "hot swap" a bios from
an identical board in order to boot so that you can
reflash, or you can get an upgraded bios from any
one of several manufacturers:

Also, check:

for more detailed info on bad flash recovery.
