I'm installing Win98 on my newly installed computer that currently has no OS on it. When I boot from the Win98 install at the menu I select "Windows 98 Setup From CD-ROM" but the system locks up when loading the CDROM driver and the message on the screen reads: This driver is provided by Oak Tree Technology, Inc. OTI-91X ATAPI CD-ROM device driver, Rev D91XV352 Device Name: OEMCD001 could someone please help me with this. |

try using a startup disk with system files and the drivers for your drive(s). it's probably trying to use the wrong driver. |
