I'm looking into buying a 3D card and i'm wondering, does the 3D card replace the normal video card or not? Thanks

it depends on your system. If it's a pentium 2 then it has an agp slot for the video. if that is the case, yes. If not then it can go either way.

Think I doubleposted...sorry. Depends on whether you're using a 2D/3D card. If you're using one of the older 3Dfx cards a la Voodoo1 or 2 then they are pass through 3D cards and you will still need a 2D card in your system ie: you WILL have 2 video cards in your system. The Banshee, TNT and Voodoo3 are all 2D/3D cards and you will opnly require the one video card.
