PC prices have gone WAY down. A lot of us probably remember when a 72 pin 64mb simm cost 1000+ dollars.. I just got 128mb PC133+ ECC for 200. Pc price dive? You could say that. Well, now guess what? Intel, the big processor name, is planning to bring out a processor that does away with the x86 (!386 enhanced ) instruction set. This has been a staple of PC's for YEARS. And now, its gonna be gone. And you know what? I'm pretty sure a large drive of this is to bring PC prices back up to where companies (namely intel) are making more profit and having less competition. POnder this! ShadowStar |

In a vacuum, that would be pretty interesting. Unless you can bring AMD and Cyrix onboard though, I doubt if such a strategy would go very far in todays' market. However, I do have some photos of Sasquatch that you might be interested in... |
