Hello....browsing through this board there appears to
be a lot of intelligent and helpful people so here goes
my simple question. I putting together a new system as
follows: Abit BE6 w/ a celery366 tested to overclock at
550, WD 18 Gig 7200 ATA/66 HD, Voodoo3 3000, mx300
sound, kenwood 52x cdrom, 19" monitor(still looking for
the best price/performance), microsoft digital speakers
(maybe not the best but for $40 delivered after rebate
they were hard to pass up); well to my reason for
posting. I am attemting to find quality Ram for a quality
price, is this possible with the recent price runups? I'm
looking at the Mushkin labeled 128 MB PC-100 w/toshiba
cas2 6ns access time for $154.....anyone have suggestions
on the RAM, monitor or anything else for that matter???
Thanks for your help in advance........

Thats some expensive Ram, go to www.egghead.com, or onsale.com, the ram there is much cheaper, and if your board supports PC-133 Ram, do that, obviously much faster.I think the BE6 does support PC-133. The Celery should max at 500, 550 will overheat it trust me on that, even ventilated well u are risking overheating it at 500 unless you plan on keeping it at a low room temperature at about 65-70 Farenheit, somebody reported that theirs would overheat at 77farenheit and above.
