I have a Pc100 M748LMRT systemboard from pc chips I put in a 256 strip of ram and it only read 120 there was nowhere in the bios to change for the ram so I figured new bios When i flashed the bios I believe i got the wrong bios and my computer wouldnt boot up but it did beep and the floppy was working So I found the correct rom file and renamed it AMIBOOT.ROM booted my computer with this in the floppy and after a few minutes it did a long series of beeps After this i looked for the jumper to the CMOS and the picture in my manual is not the same as my board and I dont think i have found this jumper I found a picture and have found the correct jumper for the CMOS but it didnt work Now I try to Boot and I get No Beep and No Floppy Do you have any advice on where i might go from here |

Hi Troy, This doesn't sound good, but first try the board with only 120MB's of ram, if not try changing the internal (CMOS) battery. |

If that doesn't work try to get a definitive ID on the board here: http://www.stud.fernuni-hagen.de/q3998142/pcchips/ and order a new chip here: http://www.badflash.com |

What you could do is get a bios from another motherboard the same as yours put it in your board boot up your PC. Then without switching off you PC remove the bios and put the old one back in. Then flash the bios with the correct sofware. |
