aaagh this has happened so many times to me and I never remember what to do to fix it...ok heres my problem - I re-formated my computer not long ago and now I'm trying to re-install windows 98, thing is it keeps asking for a floppy disk and insists there is no e drive ( my cdrom ) ...so I tried installing dos 6.22 to see if that would enable me to use the e drive but it doesn't. So I've re-formated it and theres nothing on the HD, what to I do? I have the win98 disk, no cdrom drivers and no windows bootup disk can any1 direct me back onto course ? Oh and the bios detects the cdrom fine. HEEEEEEEEEELP please :D |

Are you trying to boot from your cd? Go into bios, set the order of "boot sequence" so the cd drive is first boot device. Or go to http://bootdisk.com/ and get yourself a startup floppy. It's always good to have one on hand anyway. Vera |
