Hello Rick,
First off getting into the cmos setup is tricky with Monorail (Compaq EX-Patriat made) PC's. When you turn on the system press CTL ALT S for some F1 or F2 for some others It sounds like Drive failure, but the way these are setup you need to get in the BIOS to check if it is being detected.

In response to last message a beep error normally refers to a hardware problem. The manufactures site should have the beep codes.

In your case if you see nothing on the screen at any time I would suspect the video card or monitor. Should also make sure video cable to monitor is secure and that video card is properly seated.

Borrow another video card to try or try the monitor elsewhere.

On my Monorail PC, I made some major upgrades to it (XP, AMD 550, CDRW) and it was great! The other day it went into standby from inactivity. Usually this is not a problem, however I cannot get the PC to turn back on. The only thing it does is the light on the front blinks slowly. It is the light-bulb light, not the hard drive light. If I unplug the PC from any power, it continues to blink for a few seconds, then stops. So, I plug it back in and it blinks again. Any suggestions??

A suggestion.
We'll see what others have to say...but
left to my own devices I would try clearing CMOS via jumpers on motherboard.(read manual)ATX you have to disconnect power from motherboard.
If it boots, go into BIOS
setup optimum or restore defaults and see if I could go from there.

Hi, I had some of the same problems with my Monorail.

To get into the BIOS you need to press the "Delete" key when you see the Monorail screen.

Also, if anyone has any drivers for their Monorail system that they could let me have, please let me know. My sound-card will not work because windoze does not have the proper driver. I can't tell what kind of card it is (no markings) ThanX =]
