Hy,
I try to install a modem on my PC( Compaq Prolinea, cpu 133). The modem was made by Ambient, with hard aceleration, 56k.
The problem is:
When I boot the sistem after the plug of the modem in the slot, the sistem doesn't want to start, the monitor doesn't start.
Can you help me,pls? |

Thats a common problem with Compaqs, try a different slot or a different modem. |

Sometimes with the older Compaq's the best thing to do is use an external modem. Most of the time with internal ones you get an IRQ conflict. |
