look for it in the c:windows\system directory. if it's there. try to register it with the system and see if it works then. here's how: at the run box, type: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\regsvr32.exe C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\WINASPI.DLL just copy what i typed here there and run it. it'll register the dll. let me know if it works or not. |

1. Extract wnaspi32.dll from "win98_44.cab" kit files for win 98 second edition. 2. Verify if both secondary and primary HDD controllers is active in control panel, else enabled ->Ide->settings->"Both IDE Channels enabled"->restart computer. 3. If not work try to install IDE drivers for vendors (VIA, INTEL, ALI, SIS). |

i have installed an acer cd rw to my pc and it is not being detected. i have no D drive to run the cd installation disk. Adding new hardware doesn't seem to be working either. i dont know what else to say about it or do about it. i have done all the troubleshooting in the manual which came with the burner but still no success....any information or help would be muchly appreciated |
