I was reformatting my hard drive and have expecienced a problem. I've got to the point where I need to reinstall 98. I have my install disks and follow the instructions for installing, but for some reason it won't recognize them. Anyone know what to do?

Also, for some reason when it starts up in MS-DOS it still says Windows 98 on the screen. I guess this means it is still installed. Whatever the case is, I don't know where to go from here. Help.

In order to completely wipe the hard drive you should run FDISK and delete the partition and create a new partition than format and reinstall. The win98 splash screen is actually a type of graphic file left over from the format.
