I have a brand new computer set which having AMD K62/500. Motherboard is Servex SV-126. 128MB SDRAM. My problem is that i will always be getting Windows VXD error and bluescreen. When i set the CPU to be 400 MHz, then it becomes stable. Is anybody out there know what is happening. I have updated the BIOS version and Vcore is set at 2.2V. |

If it is a brand new computer, I would make whoever you got it from, deal with it. For one, make sure you haven't gotten an over clocked processor that actually isn't a 500MHz. If you are running Windows 95, you may need a patch for the K6 processors. You can find it at http://www.amd.com/products/cpg/k623d/win95_update_k6.html I'm not sure of how or if this was resolved with Windows 98. Being a new computer, you probably have 98, but could check into it. Do you have the motherboard manual? If so, you could verify the CPU and jumper settings on the board. They don't offer squat for support. (Always a good thing to check into before the purchase) You might just try emailing them. Two sites that I know of: http://www.servex.com.au/ http://www.servex.com.my/servex/ Maybe someone else might have some helpful suggestions. Good luck. |
