I have a geforce 4 420 graphics cad and am trying to play dvd's on my telly. Only thing is i cant get any sound and the picture is in black and white only.The user manual is useless and i cant find an answer on the web so all help is greatly appreciated. any questions please ask. Kind regards. |

Usually the region isn't set properly for your TV out. NTSC is the US standard, PAL and Secam are 2 of a couple choices for across the big pond. Not sure which standard for down under. |

As far as the sound issue goes, sound isn't transferred from your video card via Svideo you need to patch the audio from your sound card to your television. |

i have almost the same setup. i go from s-video OUT (geforce4 MX 440) to s-video IN (tv). sound is patched from the soundcard to my stereo. i suggest you install nvidia nview. this software will give you more options on configuring a second display. (have your standard monitor hooked up too). another tip is that you try ALL your tv's AV channels. i've had a similar problem due to the wrong choice of AV channel. currently my stand-alone DVD/DIVX pc runs fine on tv. let us know if these tips lead to anything... . |

Audio too fast.....all audio on my comp. plays too fast. Cds and any streamed audio through winamp, real player and windows media player all sounds like mickey mouse on helium ! Any ideas? |

Yes, your sound card drivers and the codecs used are not compatable. You can find drivers for the sound card at the manufacturers websight. |
