The usb is probably stealing interrupts (IRQ's) from the ps2 mouse.

I seem to get a similar problem with wireless USB adapter and mouse. Whenever I plug in the adapter, my mouse stops working. When I unplug the adapter, the mouse starts working again. They seem to compete on IRQ 12.

My Pentium III PC uses PC100 board and ATX Form Card as well. It runs Windows 2000. How I can get around this IRQ problem? Thanks!
