I have a amd cpu and a epox motherboard. Problem is that it wont start up. Was ok in the evening, next morning dead. The cpu fan starts up and there is power to the HD but it says no signal on the screen and it doesent start up either. I have changed the motherboard but that didnt help. Can the cpu cause this? |

Yes, so can bad memory. Also a failing power supply as well.. Usually with memory errors you get some kind of CMOS P.O.S.T. error though. |

I have a p4p800s that was working fine. I added a stick of pc2100 to it with a stick of pc2700 that was already in the system. After restarting the system the screen is blank. The power lite is on and the stanby lite on the MB is lit, but that is it. It won't even boot with a dos start up disk. NO BIOS screen or anything. Help. |

The P4P800 series doesn't like mixed memory at all. Remove the 2100 stick clear CMOS and it should spring back to life. |
