I have an Athlon 2800+/333 with an Asus A7N8X-LA motherboard (with 2 184pin dimm slots).

I already have 512MB PC2700/333DDR memory installed.

I bought another 1GB of the same spec but for some reason it cant be recognized in any combination i insert it.

Everywhere i look tells me i can support upto 2GB memory (thus 1GB each slot).

I tried the memory in a mates computer and it works fine so there nothing wrong with it.

Can anyone PLEASE help me................????

(should i upgrade my mb?)

if your board was in a hp computer it may be that it only supported 1gb somehow (at least according to the specs at hp, asus specs say otherwise)
