Whenever I try to start formatting my C: drive, I get this error: Windows cannot format this drive. Quit any disk utilities or other programs that are using this drive, and make sure that no window is displaying the contents of the drive. Then try formatting again. Well, I've tried closing all of the programs that are open.. But I can't seem to get it to work. Does anyone have a solution to my problem? I simply want to clear the disk and start over.. Thank you very much, Paige Miller |

By the way, I have a Dell Inspiron 4150 notebook with Windows XP, if that helps any. |

You can't format your laptop hard drive from the active partition, you will need to boot from your XP CD and format. |
