My 2.5 year old Dell has been a real workhorse but the mouse port is buggered and it only works now and then. I use a Trendnet 4 port KVM switch and when using adapters for a USB mouse it freaks out. Has anyone seen a PCI card for the keyboard and mouse available that's for PS2? I WANT to put a new system together, but not just yet...I've searched but haven't found one yet. Maybe somebody else has? Thanks |

I've been looking for one but apparently no one makes a dedicated PS2 port pci. Since a KVM is being used have you tried to go direct with the mouse and bypass the KVM? |

Was given a used machine loaded with W98se & it boots up just fine. But when the desktop opens I'm greeted with a message: No mouse found... I've tried 3 different (known good) mice with no luck. The mouse plugs into a port whose ribbon cable is routed directly to the mobo. I SUSPECT a hardware problem but am clueless on how to proceed. |
