How would I hook up a DVD-ROM, CD-RW, a 20 gig HDD and a zip drive all on the primary and slave cables? I think they calll em IDE 1=2, right? So what is the proper sequencing? Would I need a add on card to add other devices, not using the USB port?

Proper setup is as follows
IDE 1=20 gig HDD as master with 80 conductor 40 pin cable. With the zip drive you may want to use it as Master and pick up an ATA 100/133 controller card for the hard drive.
DVD and CDRW can be hooked up on IDE 2 as master and slave or Master and cable select. Which ever works out the best.
