My brother bought this laptop at a computer show.
The battery will fully charge but when you try to run the laptop on the battery it lasts only a few minutes. I experienced with PC's but not laptops. Is the battery dead or am I missing something?

The battery either has a bad cell or is of nickle cadmium design and needs to be reconditioned.

I want to change the CMOS battery as my clock has died. However, I am unable to locate the battery compartment. Please can someone tell me how I can locate and open this?

Regards,

Lee.
