AMIDiag Suite 2.0 - Conclusion

Out of the box, this is a very well done software package. It is easy to use in a Windows environment and in most cases will not cause any problems with existing software. Outside the few quirks I had with it initially, the diagnostic tools load well at default settings to diagnose most any hardware installed.

If you work on older systems as well as new systems like I do, you can appreciate AMIDiag's flexibility. AMIDiag is not designed to diagnose hardware failure ala dead Motherboard/CPU. But instead diagnose failing components and or IRQ conflicts.

So if your problem is a dead PC, do not rush out and purchase any software diagnostic programs as you need at the very least a PC that powers on and boots. After all, if software isn't written for hardware we all would still be using 8 megabyte ram, ISA video cards, and 9600 baud modems and that to me just doesn't sound like much fun...
